Survival Load
 
  1. Rifle and 100 rounds ammunition in mags or stripper clips.
    1. Standard Caliber: (a).223, (b)7.62x39, (c).308, (d)30.06, (e).50, (f)Other
      Personal weapons choices are flexible, but common military calibers are highly recommended.
  2. Load Bearing Equipment consisting of:.
    1. Pistol belt.
    2. H-back Suspenders (More comfortable than Y).
    3. Ammo pouches (2).
    4. Canteen w/cover, cup and stove.
    5. Butt-pack.
  3. Field Equipment:
    1. Cleaning kit for rifle.
    2. Poncho w/liner.
  4. Basic Survival Kit.
    1. First aid kit.
    2. Toilet paper in zip lock bag.
    3. Water purification tablets.
    4. Water-proof matches or bic lighter.
    5. 6 Trioxane fuel bars.
    6. Fish hooks.
    7. Fishing line.
    8. Sinkers.
    9. Snare making material (64 gauge brass wire).
    10. Empty film canister full of dryer lint.
    11. Sheath knife.
    12. Compass.
    13. Topographical map of Operational Area.

Fighting Load
  The Fighting Load will consist of the Survival Load above plus the following items:
  1. Field Equipment.
    1. Smoke canisters.
    2. 2 Flares.
    3. Leatherman tool.
    4. Mini-mag lite w/red filter and spare batteries.
    5. Signal mirror.
    6. Whistle.
    7. Note pad w/2 pencils.
    8. FRS/GMRS or 2m, 6m or CB radio (depending on unit) w/headset.
    9. Mini binoculars 10 x 25.
    10. Camo face paint and/or face veil.
    11. Gas Mask and 3 filters, with hood and carry bag.
  2. Pack equipment.
    1. Water-proof bags.
    2. 3 pair socks, 1 extra t-shirt.
    3. Jacket.
    4. 1 OD mil. ground cloth.
    5. Sleeping pad.
    6. 50 feet of # 550 cord.
    7. Candle.
    8. Hygiene kit: soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor etc.
    9. Three to seven days field rations.
    Lightness and compactness are vital. Remember you must be able to carry your gear.


Existence Load
  The Existence Load will consist of the Survival Load and Fighting Load above plus the following items:
  1. Rifle and 300 rounds of ammo in mags or stripper clips
  2. AO specific Field Equipment:
    1. AO specific sleeping bag (20 degrees or lower rating).
    2. H20 bladder.
    3. Water filter device w/2 filters (PUR hiker).
    4. AO specific cold or Hot weather gear.

Team Gear
  Each team should have the following:
  1. 1 field deploy able HF/VHF/UHF transceiver with NVIS field antenna.
  2. Several VHF handhelds for inter/intra team commo.
  3. Portable battery packs with a solar panel.
  4. 1 Laptop w/packet and PSK-31 software and cables for digital commo.
  5. 1 Scanner for monitoring.
  6. 1 Bionic Ear.
  7. 1 Infrared heat detector.
  8. Night Vision Equipment.
  9. Medical equipment.
  10. 1 4 man camo tent.
  11. 4wd trucks, ATV’s and or mountain bikes.
  12. Tools such as shovels, axes, chainsaws, bolt cutters, block and tackle, etc.
  13. Lanterns, stoves.
  14. Heavy Weapon such as the Barrett .50 caliber.

Optional Vehicular Gear
  These items are not officially required but should be considered.
  1. Full gas tank.
  2. Extra engine oil.
  3. Inflated, full size, spare tire.
  4. Spare bulbs, fuses, fan belts and hoses.
  5. Jumper cables.
  6. Mechanics tool kit.
  7. Shovel or pick.
  8. Tow chain or tow strap.
  9. 5 gallon gas can (full).
  10. Phase inverter (converts dc to ac power).
  11. Extra blankets or sleeping bags.
  12. 1 weeks rations.
  13. Assorted maps.
  14. Extra ammunition.
